Leon Bridges has style, in his fashion and his songwriting. Reviews of his music put him into the ‘neo-soul’ category often, he has that sound harkening back to the 1950s and 60s but is terribly modern when infusing deviations in influence and folding in experimentation. It doesn’t have to be wildly different to make a new sound, it’s subtly fantastic to hear a very young artist with the ability to edit, edit, edit. His first album ‘Coming Home’ we could listen to over and over, but lately we have been enjoying his new album ‘Gold-Diggers Sound’ as we dive into summer’s end.
