:: design we love :: YOKO OGAWA
Every so often we like to throw a book or an author into the mix of materials, products, and furniture that we treasure here on this blog because books and eloquent words can be designed as equally well as a chair or lamp. Books stir the imagination, are inspiring, thought-provoking and continually move with the contexts of time and place. Memory Police was a novel we read recently - elegantly written, yet slightly horrific. It sanely normalized an insane situation (hence the horrific part). It read like a long poem, a simple poem with depths of complexity and richness that separates this writer from her contemporaries.
