:: design we love :: MUTINA MEWS
For the Fair Isle Brewing tasting room we were looking for a statement with the new architectural intervention that clearly didn’t blend in with the older building’s character. Something that would stand out as a visual canvas of Fair Isle’s philosophy. Mutina’s Mews series tile has a variation of about 18 different shades in each color lot. It's sophisticated in a matte finish to show it’s uniformity, but also has a vastly complex textural surface if you get into the minutia. Every tile stands on it’s own, but together they create a scene reminiscent of the northwest waves and forests where each piece is shown fitting into the overall scheme. This resonates with Fair Isle’s distinction in the beer world. The yeast is uniformly a representation of the northwest terrior, but morphs as each beer takes the yeast profile in a slightly new direction than the last beer made. We are excited for you all to enjoy it on opening day as much as we do!
