Santa Cole, based in Barcelona, makes light fixtures and furniture. They also have a sister company called ‘Urbidermis’ that is determined to bring an elevated quality to the urban furniture realm. This Trapecio bench is an example of that, it can be made out of concrete or wood and has a shape that screams Barcelona design to us, the slender forms shifting past each other to create a dynamic and sleek seating arrangement to grace a plaza or a park and compliment the beauty in the landscape it surrounds. When we are asked to reimagine a park or plaza-like space in our designs, we look to Barcelona and Copenhagen for cues because they tend to be the most progressive in delightful urban spaces.
