Stolpman Vineyards is outside of Santa Barbara [in the Santa Ynez Hills]. With a tasting room in Los Olivos, they offer two very different tasting opportunities - one is a more traditional tour through their estate-grown classics (hint: delicious pinot noirs!), the other is a taste through some crushable, chillable, all-over-the-map varietals meant to be fun and had in the moment. Crunchy Roastie (pictured above) was a favorite, as well as their ‘love you bunches’ series found in Seattle locally. Everything they make is a delight and the father, Tom Stolpman, passed down the tradition of wine-making to his son Pete, who now runs the operation and keeping operations in the family. We can’t wait to return, and in the meantime enjoy what we brought back to Seattle in our luggage.
