This town takes coffee seriously. The gloomy weather and darker mornings make coffee rituals a thing for most Seattlites. Whether that’s going to your favorite nearby coffee shop or brewing your own, almost everyone has a dedicated process to get to that morning cup. Baratza has long been a staple in our ritual coffee preparation - a baratza grinder to be exact. The founders, Kyra Kennedy with a background in environmental sciences and sales and Kyle Anderson with a background in engineering, made high quality grinders that pushed innovation in the industry for a couple decades before selling to Breville in 2020. And, as usual of items found on this page, the designs are beautifully crafted and intentionally thoughtful. Happy coffee-making!
